CHILDREN LOVE HORSES


Welcome to Charlie’s New Feature, "CHARLIE'S HOBBY HORSE & PONY GALLERY" and I would like all of you children to send me your photographs, postcards, drawings, paintings, sketches of your favourite horses, ponies, hobby horses and rocking horses.


In your photos and pictures, it doesn't matter if you're not actually in the shot – but if you are then that’s great - the picture can be just of the horses it doesn't matter - we would still like to pin them up in our gallery. Also if you have written a short poem or story that involves children and horses and would like it printed on the website I will be pleased to receive them. Please remember to write on it your name, your "Charlie's Friends" pass-number, where you come from and your age.


Remember: I want you to enjoy this little corner – just you and me to share - and anyone else who just loves, horses and ponies is welcome!


It would help if you wrote some details on the back of the photo or picture – like who is in the shot, the horse or pony’s name, where it was taken and when. Also please write your name and age on the back of the photo or picture.


I am going to start this corner off by submitting some of my favourite photos and other memorabilia about horses, just like me.


There is one very important thing to know before you send anything to me. Can you please ask your mum and dad before you send me a picture because if it is taken from a book or off the internet, there is something called ‘Copyright’ – and this means that if someone has copyright in a picture or photo it is their property and that person will have to give you permission to use it – So please involve mum or dad!


One last thing – if you don’t want your name mentioned can you please tell me.


I shall be placing your photos and drawings into sections and these will be:-

A) Hobby Horses and Rocking Horses

B) Real horses and ponies


For us to keep track of who sent in which photos, we ask you to fill in a simple registration form. We do not ask for your full address nor your postcode.


These are the questions:

1) Your member number/Charlie’s Friend number (This will be generated automatically when you apply for the first time, after which you will have the number to enter into the pass-number box – Please remember this unique number)

2) Your name

3) Your age and birthday

4) Your town in which you live

5) Your email address



RULES


i) If sending by email, the maximum size of each images must not exceed 250KB

ii) If you decide to send your photos/images by post we can only return them to you if sufficient postage is supplied on a large stamped self-addressed envelope.

iii) Charlie reserves the right to exclude any pictures etc deemed unsuitable for inclusion, and for any reason.

iv) Copyright will be retained by the original owner. (Where this is known please tell us)

iv) Our decision is final


Copyright. Wherever possible we shall credit the photographs/images/work to the rightful owner. If anyone should observe a picture, photograph or any other material or information that is incorrect or that they have reason to believe infringes copyright please let us know any relevant details and we shall take steps to record this in situ, or remove the said image from these pages. Thank you for your help in this matter.
